RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y. — Conrad Michael Lupardo, 70, of Hugick Road, beloved husband of the late Ingeborg M. Furst Lupardo, passed away suddenly on Tuesday afternoon, May 1, as the result of an automobile accident on State Highway No. 28, in the town of Columbia.
He was born on May 2, 1941, in Manhattan, son of the late Raphael and Catherine Bussiere Lupardo. He was raised and educated in Lewiston, a resident of the town of Columbia since 1988, coming from Saugerties. He was a truck driver with Mitchell Transportation Co., the Teamsters Union and more recently with C. P. Craska Inc. in Ilion. He retired in 2001.
Conrad had a strong faith in God and was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Richfield Springs. To all who knew him, he was a warm, caring and helpful gentleman. He enjoyed doing for others and looked for nothing in return. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and family.
Surviving him are one son, Richard Lupardo and his wife, Lorie, of Richfield Springs, a daughter, Debra Lupardo and her fiance, Alex Corrales, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; grandchildren, Joshua Lupardo and his wife, Michelle, of Yorktown, Va., Conrad Lupardo and his daughter, Chloe, and Phillip Lupardo, all of Richfield Springs, and Devon Cogswell, Amber Hodge and her husband, James, and their children, Damion Lupardo, Willow Hodge, James Hodge and Meadow Hodge, all of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two stepsons, Charles Beck and his children, Forrest and Carson, of Belfast, and Thomas Beck and his wife, Jane, of Homer, and their children, Sonja and Oliver of Homer, Ark., a stepdaughter, Anne Cottingham of Austin, Texas; one brother, Michael Lupardo of Auburn; three sisters, Janet Roy and her husband, Armand, Margaret Pelletier and her husband, Richard, all of Auburn, and Doris Mathis of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his best friend, Roscoe, his dog.
