AUBURN — Jeannette E. Moore of Sabattus, died May 3, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston, May 20, 1918, the daughter of Napoleon and Marie­Anne Lacasse Doyon. She was married Oct. 14, 1951 to Stanley W. Moore.

She enjoyed spending time with family, swimming in her pool and playing her favorite game Rummikub. She also hosted a weekly knitting circle for family and friends. Her favorite things to knit were Barbie doll clothes for all the baby girls in the family along with their “first Barbie,” everyone has a Christmas stocking knitted by “Nannie” and she knitted dog sweaters for everyone of her dogs. She was very loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She worked at BIW during the war, then at the Farnsworth Mill in Lisbon Center and owned and operated “Bee’s Donut Shop” in Lewiston in the late 50s. Prior to that, she was a waitress in her mothers’ restaurant “The Dew Drop Inn” in Lisbon.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Bubier and her husband, Walter, of Sabattus; two sons, Raymond Campbell and his wife, Sharron, of Lisbon Falls and Donald Campbell and his wife, Kathi, of Milford, Conn.; one foster daughter, Brenda Cliffe of Albany, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Liane DeChamplain of Lewiston, Julie Bonsaint of Lisbon, Terry Lajoie of Lewiston and Simone Racine and her husband, Emile, of Brunswick; a sister-in law, Carmen Doyon of Auburn; a brother-in-law, Conrad and Annie Dube of Sabattus; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; her parents; a sister, Marie-Blanche Doyon; a brother, Adrien (Bob) Doyon; and a great- grandson, Ryan Thomas.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice House for the wonderful care she received.
