The public is invited to enjoy dinner any time between 5 and 7 p.m. Saturday at the church, 757 Summer St. The live auction begins at 7. The cost of dinner is $7. The public is welcome to attend either the dinner or auction separately or to attend both.
Some of the auction items include a custom made bench from McIntosh and Tuttle Cabinetmakers in Lewiston, a homemade quilt, handcrafted glass sushi dish set, guitar, handwoven artisan basket, camping gear, original artwork, jewelry, various theme baskets and two days of summer yard work from the youth group.
So far the youth group has stacked wood, raked yards, made crafts to sell, held dinners and bake sales, collected bottles and shared in yard sales to raise enough money to attend the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America 2012 Youth Gathering. The gathering occurs once every three years. Youth group members attending are Sam Miller, Emily Miller, Jacob Luce, Sam Adell, Darby Tuttle and Jon Tuttle.
