LEWISTON — Juliette S. Dargie, 90, of Alma Drive, Lisbon, died Saturday, May 5, at Montello Manor.

She was born in Auburn, July 22, 1921, a daughter of the late Jules and Anna (Lacombe) Caron. She lived most of her life in Auburn and was educated in Auburn schools. She had lived in Lisbon with her daughter for the past 25 years.

Juliette married the love of her life, Honore N. Dargie, Aug. 28, 1948. He predeceased her on Nov. 13, 1984. She worked for many years at Libbey Mill, then later worked at CMG Hospital, then for 16 years, she cleaned homes for local families, one being Sen. Olympia Snow for seven years. She then went on to work at Dori Shoe, until the factory closed and she retired in 1984.

Juliette was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon Falls. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, quilting, her flowers and most of all, spending time with her family. She also loved to cook and going for walks.

She leaves a daughter, Doris Dargie of Lisbon; two sons, Raymond Dargie and wife, Shirley, of Oxford and Roger Dargie and wife, Valerie Ritchie, of Poland; two brothers, Donald Caron and wife, Pauline, of Auburn and Robert Caron of Turner; a sister, Lorraine Obie and husband, Gerard, of Lisbon; a granddaughter, Katie Dargie; three grandsons, Andrew, Christopher and Nicholas Dargie; three great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Chloe and Tyler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Eric Dargie; a sister, Connie Caron; and three brothers, Romeo, Gerard and Sylvio Caron.
