LISBON — Two drivers were arrested Friday afternoon after being involved a three-vehicle collision on Route 196.

Lisbon police officer Jason St. Pierre said Ashton Cuffee, 21, of Lisbon was charged with operating without a license and Robert Hamilton, 34, of Lewiston was charged with being a habitual offender for driving after his license had been suspended.

He said Cuffee, Hamilton and Steve Creamer, 57, of Greene were all headed east on the highway shortly before 3 p.m. when the rear-end collisions occurred. Cuffee was stopped in a construction area when Creamer pulled up behind him on his motorcycle and it was hit by Hamilton’s pickup truck, the investigator said. The impact pushed Creamer’s motorcycle into Cuffee’s car, he said.

Hamilton was booked at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn and later released on bail, a spokesman said. Cuffee was booked at Lisbon Police Department and released on bail, St. Pierre said.

Damage estimates were: $1,000 to Cuffee’s 2001 Ford Taurus; $5,000 to Creamer’s 2007 Yamaha; and $1,500 to Hamilton’s 2000 pickup.
