NORWAY — The Community Table, located at The Progress Center, has announced the addition of Community Lunches. The lunches are served the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There is no cost for the meal but donations are greatly appreciated.

The Community Dinners are served from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of every month. Like the lunches, there is no cost for the meal but donations are greatly appreciated.

The Progress Center undertook a three year project to raise the $240,000 needed to renovate an existing portion of their main building and install a full commercial kitchen. This project came about as it was obvious the employment situation within the greater Oxford Hills was worsening and friends and neighbors were struggling.

With the new commercial kitchen now a reality, the staff, individuals supported by the center and a dedicated group of volunteers are able to plan, prepare and serve approximately 200 per meal. The building is handicap accessible and parking is available.

For information on days and times of the lunches and dinners, for volunteer opportunities or for information on making a donation, call Lee Barker at 739-6180. For information on The Progress Center call Priscilla Burnette at 743-8049.
