LEWISTON — A program for Armed Forces Day will take place, rain or shine, at noon Saturday, May 19, at the Armed Forces monument at Veterans Memorial Park on the Lewiston side of the Longley Memorial bridge.

The program will honor all who have served and are serving in the armed forces of the United States. All veterans are invited to participate.

The program will include invocation and benediction by Rev. Steven Crowson, Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, the history of the U.S. Marine Corps by Lewiston Mayor Robert MacDonald, reading of special proclamation by Post 22 adjutant Jerry Der Boghosian, address from visiting dignitaries and patriotic songs.
