WILTON — Wilton Day Group met on May 10 with 10 members present.

On April 28 Lois, Hazel and Becky went to the State Homemakers Meeting in Waterville.

Flag poles were put together by Lincoln Flagg. On May 3 Lillian, Betty, Beverly, Becky and Hazel went to the fire station and finished putting flags together.

The group will be going on a trip to Acadia Nation Park on Aug 11. Cost is $30 per person. All are welcome. Members will be going on a trolley ride and listening to the history of the park.

Can tabs were brought in and more are needed.

Ann Ibarguen won the door prize.

May 18 will be the Franklin Homemakers meeting at the E. Wilton Grange Hall. On May 19 the group will host the ceremony for the flags currently being placed on Main Street.

Cards were sent out to Doris and Connie.

The program was finish it day. Members all brought in squares that were knit, crocheted or quilted and members put together three baby or lap afghans and three baby or lap quilts to be donated to hospitals and nursing homes.

The next meeting will be on June 14. The group will leave Wilton at 9 a.m. to go to Longfellow’s Greenhouse then out to lunch.
