AUBURN — June Parker Dupont, 93, died Thursday evening, May 17, at Clover Manor with family at her side.

She was born in Lewiston on June 3, 1918, a daughter of George E. and Nora (Babcock) Tucker. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

She was first married in 1949 to Sherwood Parker, who predeceased her in 1972, and later married Jacques Dupont in 1991. He predeceased her in 2000. June worked many years in local retail sales, spending several years at Ward Brothers, Zayre’s Department store, Clark Pharmacy and Sears until her retirement. She was a member of Auburn Senior Citizens and greatly enjoyed time with her family, photography, traveling, reading, knitting dish cloths, cooking and the simple beauty of flowers. She was a loving and hardworking wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She leaves two children, her son Rod Parker and his wife, Jeanine of Sabattus and her daughter, Donna Gagnon and her husband, Marcel of Auburn; five grandchildren, Brian, Keith, Brad, Mike and Dan; her great-grandchildren Elizah, Colin, Stephen, Zeke, Josie, Jocelynn, Marco, Bailey, Amber, and Crissy and Tanner, who is due to arrive in August; the Dupont family; and many dear and longtime friends whom she considered family.

June was predeceased by her parents; and her two husbands, Sherwood Parker and Jacques Dupont.

The family wishes to thank all staff at Clover Manor for the care, compassion and support shown to June and her family while she was there.
