AUBURN — Linwood L. Giberson Jr., 59, of Lochness Road, Rumford, passed away on Friday, May 18, at the Hospice House following a long illness.

He was born in Rumford on May 17, 1953, a son of Marlene M. (Gallant) and Linwood L. Giberson Sr.

Linwood was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Rumford High School Class of 1972, and later attended Northeast Tech for one year.

He was employed with Yankee Construction Co., Daniel Construction Co. and Bass Shoe.

Linwood drove a cab for Courtesy Cab for several years and delivered the Sun Journal for many years.

He loved panning for gold, gardening and four wheeling.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Thelma (Taylor) Giberson of Rumford; children, Linwood Lee Giberson III of Mexico, Tracy M. Parise and husband, Joseph of Rumford and Zachery L. Giberson of Rumford; a sister, Sharon Capponi and husband, Peter of Rumford; three brothers, Neal Giberson and wife, Bethany of Rumford, Wayne Giberson of Bethel and David Giberson of Mexico; and three grandchildren, Dylan Graham, John Freeman, and Jacob Parise.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a son, Seth Giberson.
