NORWAY — The Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Miller is interim priest in charge at Christ Church.

Miller grew up in Maine. After marriage and raising three children, she worked in a variety of jobs in different fields. In 1992 she began the discernment process that led to her ordination as a priest. She studied at Bangor Theological Seminary where she received her Master of Divinity degree in 2002 and her Doctor of Ministry degree in 2010.

She has served as rector and interim in several parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of Maine and is a member of a number of Diocesan committees.

In private life the Rev. Miller is a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Music is an important part of her life. She plays the organ, violin and viola and since 1968 has been a member of the viola section of the Portland Symphony.
