AUBURN — The wedding of Libby Renee Laplante and Eric Roger Roy was held at 11 a.m. on April 1 in Auburn. Drena Sullivan, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Roy is the daughter of Louis and Jeanne Laplante of Tamworth, N.H. Mr. Roy is the son of Roger and Cecile Roy of Auburn.
The bride was given in marriage by her daughters, Mikaila and Mariah St. Pierre of Auburn. They all carried matching bouquets of pink and white roses, baby’s breath, pink tulle beads that the bride made in memory of their daughter, Emmy-Leigh, who was there in spirit. The couple wrote their own vows, which had the guests either laughing or crying.
They traveled to North Conway, N.H., for their honeymoon and they are residing in Auburn.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2007 graduate of Mid State College with an associate degree and applied sciences. She is employed at Sunshine Children’s Daycare and NotifyMD.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Edward Little High School and attended St. Joseph’s College. He is employed at WahlcoMetroflex in Lewiston.
