MONMOUTH — The Beautifying Downtown Monmouth Committee, a part of the town’s Economic Development Committee, is making plans for the summer.
Children are invited to create artwork for downtown windows. Art teachers in Monmouth schools are helping with the project. Kids interested in participating are invited to create their favorite art and learn from professionals to create art. Workshops will be held this summer, outdoors on the ‘Green’ at Monmouth Museum.
Another way kids, parents, families, friends, neighbors and kids’ groups can join in the beautification project is by signing up to fill huge flower pots with annuals.
A workshop will be held at DR Struck’s from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 24. Participants will fill the flower pot under the guidance of Robin Struck and attend to pots during June, July and August. Monmouth Garden Club will be on hand to help.
Sign-ups for either program began at the May Faire on May 19. For more information, contact Amy Ray at [email protected] or Nancy Ludewig at [email protected].
