JAY — Police are investigating damage to an excavator near a quarry off Woodman Hill Road that was reported Saturday.
An employee of a business discovered that all the windows of a Komatsu excavator had been broken and reported it to police, Detective Richard Caton IV said Monday. The employee works for the owner of the heavy machinery company.
Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier is investigating the complaint.
Police also investigated the theft of a vehicle from Knapp Street late Saturday and recovered it Monday morning.
Officer Russell Adams responded to an 11:41 p.m. Saturday report of a stolen 1994 GMC pickup truck stolen.
Sgt. Troy Young recovered the truck on Marcello Street at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Caton said.
It appeared to be fine, he said.
