SOUTH PARIS — Rowena Elsie Tripp, 87, of South Paris died Thursday, May 24, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Portland on Dec. 18, 1924, the daughter of Darrell and Emma Etta Verrill Tripp.
She had been a homemaker all of her life and attended the Twarog Center daily for many years. She loved flowers, embroidery, jigsaw puzzles and babies. She also loved kittens, puppies and parakeets.
She is survived by a son, Dane Tripp and his wife, Brenda, of Poland; a grandson, Shawn Tripp of Dallas, Texas; a son, Arnold Houston of Warren; and a sister, Mildred Getschmann of Minnesota.
She was predeceased by two sons, Kenneth Houston and Robert Houston; a granddaughter, Sheena Tripp; and two brothers, Richard Gibson and Ken Smith.
