We all owe a great debt of gratitude to the drug program team at Mountain Valley High School, for their time and the many hours spent in preparation of their recent awareness program (May 9).

The touching photos, the emotional talks from the parents who are suffering the loss of a child, or that of an injured child . . .  may those parents be rewarded with the knowledge that because of the heartfelt sharing, others may be spared from the heartache.

It is not only the students of Mountain Valley who need this program, we all will benefit from it, and I offer thanks to the team that cared enough to offer such a program. How many other lives will be possibly saved?

The photos and program should be displayed in all schools and public buildings such as libraries. Included should be a list of the names of the team, in recognition of their dedication.
