Sections of the roof on a wing of the former Chalet Motel on Lisbon Street in Lewiston have been cut away by the Auburn Fire Department during training exercises that have been ongoing over the past month. In June, the Maine Turnpike Authority will take over the property and demolish part of the property to create 75 spots for a new park-and-ride lot.
