LEWISTON — Joline L. Lajoie, 69, of Grove Street. Lewiston died Friday, May 25, at Central Maine Medical Center with her loving family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 4, 1942, a daughter of Leo and Rita (Fontaine) Beaule.

She was educated in Sabattus and graduated from Sabattus High School class of 1960. Joline married the love of her life, Charles Lajoie on June 29, 1963, and together they raised their four children.

She worked for many years in the kitchen at Lewiston High School and retired in 2006 as manager of the kitchen.

Joline was a member of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed traveling, sitting by the pool, reading a book, gardening and spending time at Siesta Key Beach in Florida. She also loved to spend time with family and friends, especially following all her grandchildren in their sporting events.

She leaves her husband of 49 years, Charles Lajoie of Lewiston; her mother, Rita Beaule of Auburn; three daughters, Michelle Hermey and her husband, Don, of Sarasota, Fla., Carol Farago and her husband, Chris, of Lewiston, and Debbie Marquis and her husband, Rick, of Monmouth; a son, Ronald Lajoie and his wife, Maya, of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Connie Martin of Auburn; a brother, Ron Beaule and wife, Donna, of Deland, Fla., and 12 grandchildren, Morgan, Braden, Cylee, Brittany, Alyssa, Emily, Olivia, Connor, Lauren, Breanna, Cody and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Leo Beaule; and a brother-in-law, Bob Martin.
