Wendy Murphy: My mom, Sylvia Murphy, left this world two years ago in July. She had lived with me for almost two years prior. We still had her medal hanging on the door from the Relay For Life event that I had taken her to in Rumford; she so enjoyed the ride around the track. I miss her so much; she was such a huge part of my life and my five children’s lives. Now, when I look at that medal it is a medal of honor. I was blessed to have been a part of her journey.

Debbie Dorr: My Survivor Medal is very special to me. It symbolizes HOPE! HOPE means seeing that the outcome you want is possible, and then working for it. With HOPE, one can think, one can work, one can dream. If you have HOPE, you have everything. I have never thought of myself as a victim of Cancer; I was and am now a Cancer Survivor. Thanks for the wonderful support of family, friends and this great community, especially Relay For Life.

James J. Orino: The Survivor Medal signifies that I am a Cancer Survivor through the grace of God, which has allowed me life and to be able to continue helping people.
