HOLLY HILLS, Fla. — Ervin Lewis Perkins passed away peacefully  Wednesday, May 23, with his wife, Jean, and son, Douglas, at his side.

Erv was born in Auburn on Oct. 27, 1923.

He graduated as a Phi Beta Kappa at the age of 20 from Bates College with a degree in chemistry. Later he received a master’s degree in education at the University of Rochester.

Erv worked for Eastman Kodak Company for 33 years. He then retired to Florida and Maine.
