This is in response to Judith Taylor’s letter to the editor, “Interpreting the Bible,” printed May 26.

True, the Bible is of no one’s private interpretation. But, she makes the mistake of clearly misunderstanding, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” 2 Timothy 3:16.

In the Gospel, Jesus makes it clear that marriage is ordained by God, and a marriage relationship is between man and a woman.
