LEWISTON — Phillippe A. Caron, 70, a resident of Caron Street, Lisbon, died unexpectedly Thursday evening at Central Maine Medical Center, with his family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 19, 1942, the son of Louis H. and Wilemena St. Laurent Caron.
Phillippe was a professional carpenter who built residential homes, including the Caron family homestead, in Lisbon. He later pursued his carpentry talents at the Bath Iron Works Shipyard, retiring after 20 years. He was also an avid outdoorsman who also loved gardening.
Survivors include his wife, the former Rita Ringuette, whom he married April 27, 1963, of Lisbon; two sons, David and his wife, Denise, and Philip and his wife, Cindy, all of Bowdoin; three brothers, Alphonse and his wife, Ida, and Arthur and his wife, Marion, all of Lewiston, as well as Alphie of Buckfield; four sisters, Florence Dulac of Connecticutt, Jeannette Benson of Minot, Lucienne Goupil and her husband, Roland of Lewiston, and Rita Mathieu and her husband, Andre of Lewiston. Also surviving are two grandchildren.
