PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The Coast Guard says it came to the aid of a grounded sailboat with two people aboard near Portland.

A call came in early Saturday from the 47-foot sailing vessel Benchmark, reporting that the vessel ran aground with two people aboard.

A Coast Guard rescue crew determined the vessel was taking on water and started to pump the water from the vessel as it was being towed to Portland.
