This is in response to Judith Taylor’s letter of May 26, in which she stated that there is no mention of homosexuality in the New Testament of the Bible.

Two selections allude to it, but the word does not appear anywhere in the Bible. The Bible refers to it as abusers of themselves with mankind, or those who defile themselves with mankind.

If you look up the word “abusers” in the Greek concordance, the translation is “arsenokoites,” meaning “sodomite.”

Another selection also uses the word “effeminate.” The Greek word is “catanite,” which means a boy or youth who is in a sexual relationship with an adult.

We have to understand that God gave the people in the Old Testament the laws to make them see the difference between morality and immorality. Jesus did not say that he did away with the laws, but, instead, put it on our hearts.

Although we are no longer under the law, we still have to live our lives according to God’s moral views. God does not mince words and we should always take him at his word.
