LEWISTON — Dora Bouchard Chabot, 96, a resident of Summit Avenue in Lewiston, died early Monday, June 4, at Montello Manor following a short illness.
She was born in Frenchville, April 9, 1916, the daughter of Parfait and Claudia (Baron) Bouchard.
Dora worked hard all her life and was employed at the former Androscoggin Mill for many years. She was also employed at the former WT Grant store, where she retired as a sales clerk. She was a member of Holy Cross Church.
Her hobbies included knitting, jig saw puzzles, and was also was an avid follower of the Boston Red Sox. Her greatest love was her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan Bonneau of Lewiston and her soulmate, George Blackwood, of Harpswell and Connie Morin of Sabattus and her soulmate, Norm Comeau, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Marc Bonneau and wife, Elizabeth of Leominister, Mass., Mike Bonneau and wife, Mame, of Lewiston, Steven Morin and wife, Karen, of Greene and Catherine Bilodeau of Lewiston; seven great-grandchildren, Katie Leahy and husband, William, Joe Bonneau, Matthew Treadwell, Chris Morin and wife, Jessica, Kristin Poussard and husband, Preston, Brian Morin and Beth Caron; four great-great-grandchildren, Corbin Poussard, Noah Morin, Adelyn Morin, and William Leahy, IV; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ronaldo, whom she married in 1936 and died in 1999; one grandson, David in 1981; and all her siblings.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
