FARMINGTON — The Farmington Downtown Association (FDA) has begun planning the annual Summer Fest and is looking for community members to nominate a worthy individual to receive the Gem Award and vendors to turn in vendor applications.

The Gem Award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the following facets of life: commitment, dedication, time, services, compassion, empathy and love for the people and the town of Farmington. Completed nominations can be turned into Ron Gelinas at Mainestone Jewelry.

Vendors play a pivotal role in the festivities. For interested vendors, applications are due to the Farmington Downtown Association by Friday, June 15.
