I have served in law enforcement for 30 years and believe that Scott Nichols, chief of police of Carrabassett Valley, is one of the most qualified candidates to run for sheriff of Franklin County.
I have known Nichols for many years and know him to be an honest, dedicated leader. He is a veteran who has served his country and state. Now he wants to serve the citizens of Franklin County.
In 2005, he became the chief of police of Carrabassett Valley. He has outstanding qualifications to lead and is a proven leader. He has the background and training as an administrator to deal with and understand the complex budgets of the sheriff’s department. The department is facing difficult times with budget constraints and other issues.
In these tough times, we need a proven leader who has the experience and knowledge to address the tough issues we face in Franklin County.
