FARMINGTON — The Farmington Rotary Club invites participation in its annual Independence Day parade, which will be held on July 4 in downtown Farmington. The theme this year is “Celebrating Summer in Maine.”
Consider getting friends, family or coworkers involved, and bring a float, decorate a vehicle or just walk with a banner. There is no fee to participate, and there are first, second and third ribbons awarded to entries in different categories. The parade begins at 10 a.m., so parade participants should arrive by 9.
“We are pleased to again be hosting this fun event to mark our nation’s birthday, for participants and public who come out to view the parade every year” said Leslie Hawkins, president elect of the Farmington Rotary Club. “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your organization or group, and celebrate with your community on this holiday.”
For more information, and to sign up for the parade, contact Leslie Hawkins at 645-4320 or lhawkins@fchn.org.
