LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Elder Abuse Task Force will hold the third annual Senior Resource Fair in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 15, at SeniorsPlus, 8 Falcon Road.

The event will feature speakers on the topics of Medicare, financial exploitation, adult protective services and home visit programs. The keynote speaker will be Det. Lee Jones of the Lewiston Police Department on how to avoid scams.

Local organizations that provide services to seniors will have tables where participants can ask questions and gather information. Prize baskets will be raffled off at each table. Morning coffee and a free lunch will be included.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. To register, call SeniorsPlus at 795-4010.

The fair is sponsored by United Ambulance, Community Credit Union, SeniorsPlus and Maine Family Federal Credit Union.
