SACO — Phillip S. Attwood, 83, of Old Orchard Beach, died June 7, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 2, 1929, the son of Dean and Ada Attwood. He was a member of Martindale Country Club, Auburn and the Elks Club, Lewiston. He enjoyed golf, pool and traveling. He was owner of the Auburn Smoke Shop, operator of Martindale Country Club and tax investigator for the state of Maine. He was also owner of Molly Malone’s Tavern.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; five daughters; and eight grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; siblings; and an infant daughter.
