SOUTH PARIS — Kathleen Bonneau, 61, of South Paris, passed away Tuesday, June 12,  at home, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Norway, April 10, 1951, daughter of Richard and Ethelyn Allen Turner. She was a graduate of Oxford Hills High School, Class of 1969. She then went to St. Mary’s School of Nursing, where she became an LPN.

Kathy married Armand Bonneau, April 14, 1973, and moved to Kingston, N.Y., where she worked for the Rip Van Winkle Boy Scout Council. They returned to Maine in 1977. She attended CMMC School of Nursing, becoming a RN in 1989. She worked at Stephens Memorial Hospital for 28 years, before retiring for health reasons in November 2002.

After retirement, she became an active volunteer at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She has served as the outreach coordinator at St. Catherine of Sienna Parish, taking communion to and visiting those who were no longer able to attend Mass, a daily communicant of St. Catherine of Sienna Parish.

She was the founding member of the Brain Tumor Support Group of Maine. She made her Cursillo weekend in April 2000 and attended Ultreyea. Kathy loved Christmas and smiley faces. Her wish is for everyone to smile at others.

She is survived by her husband, Armand; mother, Ethelyn, both of South Paris; children, Heather of South Paris and Shawn and Katie of Orlando, Fla.; brothers, Percy of Buckfield, Richard of Louisiana, Tim and wife, Wendy, of Buckfield and Dan and wife, Kathy, of Turner; lots of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Richard Turner.
