HEBRON — Hebron Academy Athletic Director Leslie Guenther is pleased to announce local spring 2012 Athletic Award recipients. The Academy enjoyed another successful season of competitive play with MAISAD championships in girls’ lacrosse, junior varsity boys’ lacrosse and varsity girls’ tennis. On the year, Lumberjack varsity athletes brought home six championship trophies for their teams.

Hebron Academy is proud to recognize the following local scholar-athletes for their tremendous on-field efforts and commitment to their teammates. Class is listed in parentheses:

Varsity Baseball: Coach’s Award, Elijah Moreshead (2013) of Auburn

Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse: Coach’s Awards, Corrie van Haasteren (2012) and Lonnie Taylor (2012) both of Raymond; MVP, Sam Cloutier (2012) of Lewiston; All-MAISAD: Sam Cloutier and Kyle Bernier (2012) of Greene; Assistant Coach Steve Middleton was voted Assistant Coach of the Year by his MAISAD colleagues.

Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse (MAISAD Champions): MVP, Allyson Strachan (2012) of Hebron; All-MAISAD: Allyson Strachan (2012) of Hebron, Hannah Hearn (2013) of Auburn.

Varsity Softball: Coach’s Awards, Charlotte Middleton (2014) and Lilly Bourget (2013), both of Hebron; All-MAISAD, Charlotte Middleton, Lilly Bourget and Mariah Mosher (2012) of Auburn.

Track & Field: Coach’s Award, Sydney Randall (2013) of New Gloucester; MVP, Jenna Bosse (2012) of Greene.

MAISAD All-Academic (given by the MAISAD league to students in recognition of excellence in both academics and athletics for the overall 2011-2012 school year): Sam Cloutier, Mariah Mosher and Allyson Strachan.
