LEWISTON — Winnifred Ruth Fanjoy, 79, of Norway, died Wednesday, June 20, at Marshwood Center, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Houlton, Aug. 12, 1932, the daughter of Charles and Ruby McGillicuddy Hutchinson. She worked in the Maritime electronics industry, building switch boards for boats.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Fanjoy of Norway and Patricia Caruso and family of Springfield, Mass.; one son, Curtis Fanjoy Jr. of Auburn; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and personal care assistant, Charlene Barker.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Roxanne O’Shea.
