Have you been in one of the classrooms at Lewiston Middle School lately? I am a seventh-grader, and the heating system needs to be replaced.

The biggest reason is that it is injurious for the students.

In every room, there is an exposed heater that can leave a very painful burn anywhere, even through your clothes.

They are also distracting and loud. In one day, I have to hear the ting, ting, ting of the heater about 10 times, and it is really hard to concentrate.

In one of my classes, science to be exact, the heater will not turn off and is always making noise. It is so hot there that when our teacher opens the window on a nice day, it is twice as hot as outside, and if she doesn’t, it is a million degrees.

All I am saying is that the heating system needs to be replaced because it is really unsafe and broken.
