Have you ever heard of kids saying how Lewiston Middle School is so incredibly old and that everything is disgusting?
Has anyone ever done anything about it?
For example, think about the classrooms. We spend most of our day in them, so why is it the part of the school that is impacted the most?
The paint on the walls is peeling; the windows cannot be opened; the radiators make so much noise it is like we are having an earthquake. We have exposed fluorescent lights; some rooms don’t have dropped ceilings, and the “white boards” aren’t even real white boards. They are made out of the same material used for bathroom showers, which makes it incredibly difficult for the teachers to erase.
Don’t we deserve better than that? The environment at LMS does not give off a nice vibe. It is not very inspiring at all.
You figure, if people cannot take the time out of their day to help us have a comfortable environment, they why should we try with our homework, our tests, projects, quizzes and grades in general?
