Have you ever noticed that the Lewiston Middle School’s office is on the second floor? Well, I have.
I am a seventh-grader at LMS. The first day I walked into the middle school I had no idea where the office was. At my elementary school, the office was right next to the main door for security purposes, and it was on the first floor.
Some parents have trouble walking up stairs to get to the office here at the middle school. What about people who are in wheelchairs? They cannot go up the stairs in the lobby to get to the office.
Even if you make it up to the office, the setup of it is so bewildering.
It’s the end of the school year and I still don’t know what section of the office I am supposed to go to when the teacher gives me a note to give the office. It is not like all the rooms in the office are labeled, and even if they were, you still wouldn’t know where to go.
That is why I think that the office should be on the first floor and have a better setup. Plus, the school would be much safer if it were by the main entrance.
Therefore, I think the LMS office should get some remodeling for safety purposes.
