I am writing to tell you about how the office at Lewiston Middle School needs to be in a better location. The office is hard for parents to find. If the sign was not there, no one would be able to find it, so that is not very convenient for anyone to get to it.

Most schools (or, really, any building with an office) have the office in front where people walk in. There is not a very friendly welcome to LMS.

My second reason is that if you are in a wheelchair or on crutches, you can’t get to the office. You have to go up the stairs and the only elevator is inside the main building. That is not very friendly or safe.

I also think that it could make some people made or even lonely when they have to stay down there and wait for someone to come back.

Although inside doors are locked, I am concerned that someone could somehow get inside the school without checking into the office first. That could be a safety hazard if that person is not a good person and they try to harm someone.
