PENSACOLA, Fla. — Tarsha M. (Ramich) Bechtol, 40, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 12, at West Florida Hospital.

Tarsha was born in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on June 2, 1972, and was raised in Lisbon, Maine. She was the daughter of Diana Halle and Frank Ramich. Tarsha was educated in the Lisbon school system and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1990. While at Lisbon High, she was involved with many clubs and also participated in soccer, basketball and softball. She lettered, captained and was a Mountain Valley Conference All-Star in soccer and softball.

Tarsha always dreamt about getting back to her birth state and she fulfilled that dream when she moved to Pensacola Beach, Fla., in 1995. In 2000, she met J. Terryl “Bubba” Bechtol and married him in 2002 in a beautiful beach ceremony on the Gulf of Mexico. In Pensacola, she was a well-known musical DJ and former morning talk show host at News Radio 1620.

Tarsha’s spirit and personality was her firm foundation when it came to helping others. Her kind and tender heart was always there for a friend or stranger in need. She also loved animals very much and brought in many a stray.

Her infectious smile and laughter will be missed greatly by her loving family and the many, many friends she had in Maine and Florida.

Tarsha is survived by her husband; her father, Frank Ramich of Auburn; her stepfather, Stephen Halle, of Lisbon Falls; her sister, Heidi Ramich, of Tewskbury, Mass.; brothers, Jeff Ramich and his wife Sam, and Joel of Lisbon; nieces, Kyrstin Ramich and Kyla O’Sullivan; nephews Cameron Ramich and Jack Ramich; and stepbrothers, Taylor and Tanner Ramich.

Tarsha was predeceased by her mother, Diana Ramich Halle.
