LEWISTON — Lorraine Masse Cote, 81, of Turner went home to heaven June 23, in Lewiston.

She was born Sept. 30, 1930, the daughter of the late Antonio and Rosabelle Boucher. On April 19, 1949, she married Laurier J. Masse. Together they ran Masse Oil Co. and raised six children. Larry died in September 1974.

In June 1976, Lorraine married Yvan Cote. They were married for 18 years until his death in 1994. In her early years, Lorraine enjoyed camping, reading, knitting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her declining years, she enjoyed crocheting, working her puzzle books and watching old shows on television.

Lorraine is survived by three sons, Leonard Masse of Leeds, Robert Masse and wife, Susan, of Lewiston and Donald Masse and wife, Cynthia, of Bowdoin; three daughters, Irene Rioux and husband, Robert, of Lewiston, Suzanne Masse of Turner, whom Lorraine resided with for the past five years and Therese Dart and husband, Allen, of Fairbanks, Alaska; one brother, Raymond Boucher and wife, Hazel, of Turner; one sister, Carmen Robert and husband, Armand, of Titusville, Fla.; Lorraine has 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Elaine Fournier and her husband, Leroy, of Lewiston, Christine Dupuis of Sunrise Fla., Jane Arenson and her husband, Jim, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mickey Cote and his wife, Tracy, of Durham; 10 stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was predeceased by two brothers, Normand and Roger Boucher.

Rest in peace Mom. You will be missed.
