AUBURN — Raymond Zashut, formerly of Auburn, died unexpectedly Friday, June 8.

He was born June 10, 1964, in Chicopee, Mass., the son of Raymond and Lucille Zashut. He graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in business and finance in the class of 1986. While in college, he was also on active duty in the Air Force Reserves.

He worked as an insurance claims adjuster for several years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, tinkering with cars and spending time with his two sons.

He is survived by his sons, Samuel and Mackenzie; parents, Raymond E. and Lucille; and sisters, Patricia and Cheri.
