LEWISTON — Donald R. Beauchesne, 91, formerly of 20 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, died peacefully Wednesday, June 27,, at d’Youville Pavilion with family by his side.

He was born in Auburn, May 16, 1921, son of the late Alphege and Marie Michaud Beauchesne. Donald was married to Annette Bonenfant, who predeceased him Dec. 14, 2006.

Donald worked most of his life in local shoe factories. He had a gentle, wonderful side to him, always smiling no matter what. He was a member of Holy Cross Church.

He is survived by his twins, Diane Griffin and husband, Pete, of Sabattus and Don Beauchesne and wife, Lucie, of Taunton, Mass.; three grandchildren, Scott, Craig and Stephanie; two great-grandchildren, Xavier Rickell and Maddilyn Morency; a sister, Doris Biron of Auburn; two brothers, Bert Beauchesne and wife, Camilla, of Lewiston and Willie Beauchesne and wife, Jeanne, of Auburn; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Beauchesne of Auburn; a former son-in-law, Paul Morency, who cared for him very much.
