JAY — Spruce Mountain High School’s envirothon team, which is headed to an international competition in late July, will hold a tag day Thursday, July 5, at Otis Federal Credit Union in Jay.

The Pig Pots Team earned the right to represent Maine at the Canon International Envirothon at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa., July 21–27 after taking first place on May 31 at the state competition.

The team did a project that examined how low-impact development could be used to protect water in the town’s drinking water source, Moose Hill Pond, in Livermore Falls.

They plan to do a presentation at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the Livermore Falls Water District.
