I am proud to be represented by State Sen. Margaret Craven. She serves on the Health and Human Services Committee.
The governor’s budget attacked the low cost drugs for the elderly and disabled, the Medicare Savings Program, MaineCare, and Head Start. Sen. Craven fought against those reckless cuts. However, the Republican House and Senate voted for them.
In August, tens of thousands of elderly and disabled Mainers will be getting letters informing them that their medications and/or their Medicare premiums will no longer be covered. They will be forced to choose between basic needs.
Sen. Craven has been hosting monthly listening sessions with Rep. Peggy Rotundo, Rep. Mike Carey, Rep. Mike Lajoie, Rep. Richard Wagner and Rep. Brian Bolduc. They listen to their constituents and do their best to address our concerns.
We need to send them back to Augusta this November and give them a Democratic Senate and House.
