Local dance band The Way Down Willys will perform at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the “Music for Mavis” community gazebo in Turner. The five-member group plays a high-energy mix of country, R&B, rockabilly, blues and rock. The recently formed group is made up of musicians from Generation Y through baby boomers, each of whom has years of experience performing live. They are George Chiasson, guitar, harmonica and vocals; Kyle Broad, lead and slide guitar/ lead vocals; Eric Dutil, lead vocals; Bob Allen, drums and percussion; and Denis Moreau, bass guitar (who is not in the photo). Attendees are urged to bring a lawn chair.
