A duplicate of the article appearing in the Sun Journal on June 24 regarding the children of North Korea being taught hatred of Americans could substitute “Palestinian” and “Israelis” for “North Koreans” and “Americans.”
Palestinian kindergarten children are indoctrinated with hatred for Israelis. Additionally, the Arab “martyrs” who die murdering innocent Israelis are regularly honored.
How can Israel ever hope for a peaceful existence with its Palestinian neighbors when the future Palestinian leaders are taught hatred from childhood to adulthood?
There are, of course, many other factors that ostensibly stand in the way of peace in the Near East. The basic problem is that the Palestinians simply want Israel to disappear.
Until they realize and accept the fact that America’s only ally in the area will not go away, peace will not come.
All the negative press releases about the West Bank, where no new Israeli settlements have been started for 14 years and where only 2 percent of the area is occupied by Israelis, nor the cry that the inhabitants of Gaza lack food and other supplies are simply excuses and are nonsense. During the week of June 10 to 16, as an example, more than 34,000 tons of food, oil, building supplies, medicine, etc., were delivered into Gaza from Israel. That is a normal occurrence.
All the excuses and pre-conditions to peace talks are meaningless when the basic deterrent to peace is the wording in the Palestinian Charter that calls for the destruction of Israel.
