LEWISTON — Community Credit Union announces the promotion of Kerry Wood to president/chief executive officer. Wood has been with the credit union for 11 years and has served as executive vice president since 2004.
As the president/CEO, she is responsible for the direction, operation and coordination of a credit union with full-service offerings, including debit cards, credit cards and mortgages. She oversees 32 employees and is responsible for directing the activities and management staff of the credit union. She reports to the chairman of the board of directors, and is also responsible for the implementation of policies and goals approved by the board.
Wood is active in the credit union industry, participating in the Technology Committee, Enhancement Committee and Reports Committee with Synergent, the Human Resource Council for the Maine Credit Union League, and served as president of the Norm Nolette Chapter of Credit Unions from 2008-2010. She is enrolled in her final CUNA management school module with a 2012 graduation date.
She is also involved in the community, serving on the TIF Lewiston School District Steering Committee as well as the RSU4 PTA.
She resides in Sabattus with her husband and their children.
