I am neither a Republican, nor a Democrat.

I am certain that most voters face the same insoluble quandary today that I confronted more than 30 years ago. It is impossible to disseminate between truth, lies, fact and fiction presented in the pre-election information deluge to which we are all subjected.

My vote is not based on religion, politics, candidates, campaign promises, rhetoric, special interests or issues. It has nothing to do with gay rights, abortion, the plight of minorities nor the opinion of majorities; and it shouldn’t.

To determine for whom I will vote, I look only at my own personal circumstances. If they are improved, even moderately, my choice is the incumbent or his party and, if worse, the opposition.

If every voter used this method, we would always elect the candidate or party that is achieving the most good for the greatest number of people. Every ballot should represent our individual conditions, and nothing else.
