AUBURN —   Sonia E. Grant, 52, a resident of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 5, at her home.

She was born in Lewiston, on March 24, 1960, the daughter of Romey and Constance Wynott Roy.

She was a 1979 graduate of Lewiston High School. Throughout the years, Sonia has worked in the nursing field as a CNA and CRMA. She was loved by so many of her patients that she had cared for. Sonia’s one great love was her only grandchild, Mason. She enjoyed long Harley rides with her husband, Scott. She also enjoyed spending time at her summer home at Two Lakes in Oxford, where she had many friends.

She will be remembered for her kindness and her exceptional laugh. Sonia will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Grant of Auburn; her daughter, Kayla Grant of Auburn; her grandson, Mason Walker of Auburn; her brother, Richard Roy and his fiancee, Suzanne Howes of Auburn, her sister, Rita Ciempa and her husband, Michael of North Adams, Mass., her sister, Denise Gove and her husband, William of Auburn, her brother, Charles Wynott of Portland, her sister, Tina Circle and her husband, Rick of Alaska, her brother, Romey Roy Jr. and his wife, Judy of Adams, Mass., her brother, Jeff Roy and his wife, Tina of Tampa, Fla., her brother, Scott Willette of Florida and her sister, Sherry Willette of Florida; sister-in-law, Linda Dufour and her husband, Paul of Turner, sister-in-law, Kathy Lacasse and her husband, Dan of Auburn; brother-in-law, Steve Grant and Nadine Gendron of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Keith Willette; mother-in-law, Kay Grant; father-in-law, Sherman Grant; and grandmother-in-law, Gladys Bowie.
