The 1827 Meeting House, which can boast trompe l’oeil art by Charles Schumacher, is on the Register of Historic Places.

The quilt, which can also serve as a wall hanging, was crafted by the late Dawn L. Wile of Waldoboro and donated by her family in her memory.

Tickets are $1 each. To purchase tickets, call 685-3812 and leave a message, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to “States Quilt,” P.O. Box 294, Kents Hill, ME 04349 or contact a member of the Union Meeting House committee. Checks and donations should be made payable to Union Meeting House.

The drawing will be held on Heritage Weekend, Aug. 11, at the Union Meeting House, where a quilt show will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no admission fee, but donations are welcome. The winner need not be present for the drawing.
