AUBURN — Alma Jeannette Labonte, 95, formerly of Barker Mill Arms, Auburn, and a resident of Clover Manor for the past three years, died Saturday, July 7, at the Hospice House.
She was born in Auburn, June 4, 1917, the daughter of Francis Xavier and Fremina Roy Labonte. Educated in Auburn schools, she was a graduate of St. Louis School, Class of 1932. She worked for many years in the local shoe industry.
A member of St. Louis Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, she also belonged to the St. Louis Booster Club and New Auburn Senior Citizens. She loved to travel, and enjoyed playing beano with her friends at Barker Mill Arms.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Alfred; and four sisters, Emma Nadeau, Rose Boisvert, Blanche Roberge and Marie Rose Whitten.
